Hamilton tops out the grid

Lewis Hamilton for the first time since Korea in October last year gets his 20th Career pole position.Jenson Button follows on in second but says that he could of been closer or even on pole if he didnt make a slight mistake which cost him two tenths of a second.

Roman Grosjean holds a suprise third with Michael Schumacher in 4th. He hasnt been this far up the grid scince his days back at Ferrari. A dissapointing session for Red Bull with 5th and 6th followed on by Nico Rosberg who locked up at turn three which cost him valuable time.

Williams has struck back with 8th thanks to Pastor Maldonado and the Renault Engine. Nico Hulkenberg in 9th and topping up the top 10 is home Australian boy, Daniel Ricciardo.

You may notice that the Ferraris are not in the top ten. In free practice they were not happy. On top of that, Alonso put a wheel on the grass at turn one and spun on ther gravel. He ended up 12th. Massa however could set a few laps but worsened to 16th. A disapointing day for Ferrari.

The youngest man on the grid, Jean Eric Verge is in 11th. Just ahead of him is his 11 race expirienced Daniel Ricciardo as he drove for HRT for half of the season. Of course, in FP1, Vergne went too wide on the second last corner which is the slowest of them all in this circuit. He went wide and carried on going, unable to turn. He kept the engine running, spun round and got back to grip the wheel for another lap.

Bruno Senna landed 14th as he went wide in turn three which cost him two or three positions, Resta is in 15th followed by the dissapointed Felipe Massa, Perez in 17th with his more expienced team mate, Koboyashi who is in 13th.

Then the next big name to fall was Kimi Raikkonen who got stuck in some traffic and on his final attempt which really counted, he went wide and lost a second.

Caterham Kovalinen and Petrov are 19th and 20th, Massuri cars are in 21st and 22nd of Glock and Pic and finally, Rosa and Kartikeyan top up the grid.

Lotus Renault change to Renault explained

Lotus Renault has been changed to Lotus. Lotus is it's sponser and Renault is the engine, the manufacturer in other words. There is also another team called TEAM LOTUS who have nothing to do with Renault although they have got a renault engine for 2012 but they are a completly different thing. Now they changed to their other name CATERHAM. SO NOW CATERHAM AND THEN LOTUS. So thats how it is!

Lotus Renault car from last year

Bad Idea

Ok forget that last bit because some major teams like Lotus didn't take part!
